Through this project it was aimed to promote Arslantepe Tumulus where one can encounter the first emergence of state society and the transformation of society from egalitarian to hierarchical and politically centralized. Through the awareness raising activities carried out on the importance of the cultural assets the region owns and by the efforts of the excavation team and local government, the archaeological site of Arslantepe was accepted into the UNESCO Tentative List of World Heritage in 2014. The palace area has become an Open Air Museum and multilingual audio guide was made available for the visitors.
